This is my favourite photo from our 6th form leavers day which was on Friday. Since then I have had a lazy couple of days. I went to Bristol and saw my cousin and sister, which was nice, had a bit to much to drink though. So Saturday turned into a lazy revision day. Me and the cats have been hanging out really.

Very lazy cats. I only have 3 exams left now, one of which is media which I have been concentrating the most on because it’s the most likely to get a high grade. Which is needed to get into my course next year.

That idea that I spoke about a few weeks ago is going well but myself and the people involved are just concentrating on exams at the moment so don’t have much time to spare. I’m looking forward to getting into my summer project though.

Today I have just been revising with Tash.

She has her Law exam tommorw, which she is looking forward to of course. She just banged her head on the table in distress. Not a good sign. I have been being tea boy.

Still it is very hard to resist the wonderfull sunshine we’ve been having.

Give me strength for the final slog.

Have a great week, see you Friday.

So today was my last day at the school I’ve been with for 7 years! We’re now all going on study leave and the 6th formers decided to celebrate!

This is an image I took today of my friend dressed as snow white, we all had to dress up. I went as a tiger!

Great news! After my interview this week I got offered a conditional place on the course that I want to do, which is really great. Bit late in the game but still managed to get in. Happy days!

I’m off to Bristol tonight to see my sister and cousin and some more family. Should be good, looking forward to having a few beers in the sun!

Have a great weekend.

I went and enjoyed the sun today. Only had one lesson so me and Tash took our time getting home and took some pictures. I like these the best.

Project going well, getting more people involved by the day so it will be really exciting. I think I will stop talking about it for the moment and will tell you when the ball is rolling a bit more.

Going to an interview tomorrow about joining a professional photography degree course. It will keep me in education for two more years which will give me the time to keep creating and keep having fun.

So enjoy the weather, I think I’m going to do some revision this afternoon and just chill.

Have a good week.

Also want to say thank you for amazing 13 likes for my last post! Was a bit of a surprise to see that many likes but a pleasant surprise.

Talk to the hand because the face aint listnering!! Haha

Doing an early post today because I’m going to London to go to the Damien Hirst exhibition at the Tate which I am really excited about because I want to see “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of the Living” and “Mother and Child Divided”

So doing that first and then were going to see Jay-Z and Kanye West at the 02! Which is going to be incredible, plus we have really good seats.

The project is going well, got a few people involved now and we’re going to start making it soon. I will tell you a bit more about it at a later date.

Have a great weekend! C’ya later :)

So basically when I’m ready to start taking portfolio shots my laptop, which I use to edit and upload and everything basically, decided to overheat and crash. It’s not too bad but it does need repair.

I’m on my way to Reading right now to the Apple store to have my Mac looked at and it just came to me that I may not have my laptop back tonight to do the post; so I’m posting this on a phone!

It’s quite funny actually!

Had a interesting idea this week and it looks like its going to turn into a big project that will be really interesting, it’s being planned at the moment, I’ve spoken to a few people about it and they seem really interested so well see! Exciting though!

Hopefully will be up and running again soon! Wish me luck in Reading.

So these are the images for my final piece. Normally I would do them bigger but it’s important to show them side by side like this because that is the way I displayed them. I had them printed 10 x 8 and put them behind a white mount and a black frame. Although the subject matter is quite dark, it did still somehow look rather beautiful.

Today concluded my a-level photography, I have to admit, I’m going to miss it. I enjoyed every second of it if I’m honest. But onward on upwards. I’m starting to decide what I am going to do after A-levels now and I’m pretty set on doing a futher photography course maybe for a year.

One thing is for sure though, between revising for my other exams I will be taking lots of portfolio shots. I got a new backdrop and a stand to hold it, which I have been wanting/ needed for a very long time. Having less on my plate can only lead to more time for more exciting things.

Off to celebrate down the pub. Have a great weekend :) .

Above is a refined image from last week. “Let’s Play Tennis” is a slang phrase for passing a joint around.

So in my project I wanted a little break from taking photographs so decided to film a day in the life of me. Unfortunately the camera I used kept breaking but I did manage to make a good video out of the footage.

Here’s the brief:
“I felt that with looking at other’s society’s it would be interesting to look at my society aswell. I wanted to film my day, my school and my friends. To try and show what sort of society I live in.

I felt showing this may change the way people look at my current work.”

The Film; A Day with Me – My Society

BIG week this week. Tomorrow I have my exam in photography which is basically a three day exam. I get locked in a room and have to just do book work and my final piece. I’m only aloud to spend 15 hours on my final piece but I’m organised and I have my plan in motion. I ordered a backdrop the other day and luckily it got here in time.

Next Friday I will show you my final piece and I hope you like it, I’m actually quite excited about putting it all together.

Have a great week and enjoy the film. Oh and like the Facebook page while you’re there. 4 off 100 likes ;) .

These are working progress. I expanded the idea of silhouettes and created these. I like them. One of them is meant to be a alcoholic and the other is a joint. It’s part of my series of controversial issues of society. But since these ideas I have now thought of what my final piece will be. I am excited.

I’m going to be working on it this week. I have my final photography exam which is basically 3 school days locked in an art room doing work with my fellow photography students. At the beginning of today I had to admit I was fretting a bit, but I spoke with my photography teacher which inspired me to think of my final piece.

I will show you in maybe a week or two.

Been working on other things aswell. This week I did a video which sort of followed me all day and It’s meant to follow my day in my society, I’m editing it at the moment and hopefully will bring that too you soon.

Have a great weekend and talk to you soon. :)

The Snail

The snail he lives in his hard round house,
In the orchard, under the tree;
Says he: “I have but a single room,
But it’s large enough for me.”

The snail in his house does dwell
The whole week from end to end,
You’re at home, Master snail,
that’s all very well,
But you never receive a friend.

So I’m taking my project down a different route. One which involves silhouettes. This week I’ve been researching techniques on how to take silhouettes, I took this in my school dark room actually, I feel it worked really well so am feeling confident about taking this idea forward.

Also had a few other ideas about projects that I wish to do after my photography project has finished. At the moment I am just concentrating on my project, so more portfolio styled photographs are being planned but will be put on hold for a while.

Going to Bath this weekend for a meal with my sister. Will be nice.

Have a great weekend.
